Beetle Bonnet Chair
The perfect example of one man’s trash is another man’s treasure or woman in this case. The chair was for someone who’s first car was a Beetle. Therefore using a bonnet from the car model they once drove, to recreate another use but relive all the memories.
In the gallery can be seen, the bonnet, was first cut, bent and welded into the chair shape it now has. Then the leg frame work was added onto the chair and sent off to get powder coated. Once this was done, the chair needed some padding to get comfortable. A custom frame insert was created and foam and leather upholstery was added. Then of course the final addition was adding the chrome bonnet handle to finish it all off.
